I want to share my story with you. Not many people know this, but last year I suffered a serious back injury and couldn’t function normally for several months.

How did it happen? Sometimes this happens to bodybuilding fanatics like me.

I just wanted to do everything and be the best at everything so much that I simply ignored all the signals my body was sending me, and in the end, it just gave out. During those few months, I rethought a lot of things. First of all, never ignore pain during training. Change the exercise or take another day off, it won’t hurt your form, but it can save you from real problems. Also, don’t force yourself to increase your working weights gradually, your joints and ligaments can’t keep up with your muscles, especially if you use pharmacology.

For several months, I went to the gym and just did what I could without pain. It wasn’t easy because even on the leg extension machine, I couldn’t straighten my leg all the way, but I didn’t give up, and that’s what helped me recover faster. The worst thing we can do for ourselves is lie on the couch with our arms folded and feel sorry for ourselves.

I didn’t give up, I got in shape and won my tournament, qualifying for the Olympics.

Fuck that, our mothers didn’t raise us to be crybabies. :grin:
